CSU fires Nick Saban

Well, actually CSU forced David Herriott out and the Columbus Ballet fired him not Nick Saban. But it might as well have been Saban. They got rid of the man who really built this program. Before he arrived the Columbus Ballet was nothing more than a small town studio barely able to mount a high school level production. Mr. Herriott developed a program from the ground up that increased the number of students five fold, brought in world-class instructors to expose the students to what true professional ballet is about, and he raised the level of the annual Nutcracker performance to one worthy of the Rivercenter including live orchestration and professional principles.

So, who did they replace him with?

Why the woman who was unable to develop the program before. I know incredibly stupid hunh!

  3. What qualifications do you, Sir, have to judge the ability of one Artistic Director over another. It seems that you are just speaking out of anger, which is not the best way to show yourself.

  4. You do realize that the Columbus Ballet is NOT a part of CSU... right? It sure doesn't sound like it. The conservatory that teaches dance has never been a part of the Columbus Ballet company. It's just a partnership.

And uh... I know David Herriott pretty well. He resigned from the conservatory completely on his own to go back to his old position at the Huntsville Ballet. Sooo... what exactly is the problem again??

  5. Exact;y right the Columbus Ballet Conservatory and the Columbus Ballet are separate entities so why did CSU make Columbus Ballet fire me as Artistic Director of the Columbus Ballet? I did resign from the CSU position but not the Columbus Ballet position. The Nutcracker was all set to be performed and Armando was set to bring his partner from Atlanta. Ben, who was subjected to awful treatment from Maria and Kelsey, was ready to perform the Snow PAS DE DEUX with another partner and he did not hurt her at all. The problem is Columbus Ballet had a contract with me until the end of January to carry out the company performances and be the Executive Director also. I had and was continuing to fulfill my contract.
